Outlining Best-Practice Guidelines Against Workplace Harassment
“Sexual harassment” is defined as unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, or other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature. Sexual harassment can take a variety of forms, ranging from subtle words or actions to physical assault. Sexual harassment can be male to female, female to male, female to female or male to male. Examples of conduct that may constitute sexual harassment include sexual bantering, jokes, teasing, repeated requests for dates, obscene language and slurs.
The procedures outlined in this policy sample affirm that harassment of any type will not be tolerated within a company.
