Guidelines for Employee Cellular Phone Use

Organizations can use this policy to manage cellular phones required for business purposes in a convenient and cost-effective manner. 

This standard applies to the cell phone distribution process for all employees of a company. This policy covers cellular phone devices and services only. Service plan approvals for other mobile devices, including tablets, netbooks, laptops or cellular modems, are not included in this policy. Those devices require individual review and approval. Employees requiring the use of mobile communication should show a substantial need, as determined by their supervisors, to be reached outside of their desks or office.
