Course Description
Understanding the risks involved in accounting information systems and the proper design, documentation, and validation of mitigating controls. Theory and application.
Course Objectives
The objectives of this course are to:
- Challenge students to become better professionally
- Improve students’ ability to learn on their own and to perform in relatively unstructured environments
- Improve students’ ability to communicate in both written and verbal forms
- Further cultivate students’ ability to work together in teams to accomplish tasks
- Develop students’ technical competency in risk management practices, IT assurance and Microsoft Excel
