Identifying Quality Assurance Weaknesses
The purpose of this work program is to provide the general steps used to perform a quality assurance audit. This document provides audit steps that include procedures for the review of materials receiving, subcontractor quality control, metrology and calibration, and quality assurance data.
Audit steps include: review the appropriate regulations; review selected contracts and subcontracts and identify clauses requiring quality assurance systems or programs; review the applicable requirements; obtain copies of recent internal or external audit reports related to quality assurance; identify any significant system weaknesses noted therein and evaluate the status of corrective items; etc.
