Protocols for Efficient New-Hire Onboarding and Documentation
Understand the general hiring procedures and protocols for new-hire onboarding, including the completion of the payroll/status change notice.
Procedures covered in this sample include:
- All newly hired employees must complete a new-hire package prepared by personnel administration
- Personnel must make copies of the new hire's identification (birth certificate, driver's license etc.) for the personnel file
- A payroll/status change notice must be completed and signed by the division manager in order for the employee to be placed on the payroll
- The employee status form and W-4 should be forwarded to payroll
