This program focuses internal auditors on the necessary controls that should be in place to ensure a compliant export management system.

Objectives of this work program are to obtain an understanding of export compliance policies and procedures; evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of key internal controls, the export controls compliance process, and compliance with corporate policies and procedures; identify opportunities for internal control and process improvements; and evaluate the internal control environment against the elements needed for an effective export management strategy as established by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Export Administration.
