According to this policy, while maintaining foreign exchange transaction costs within budget targets, it is the company’s policy to minimize foreign exchange losses due to balance sheet exposures.
Leases Policy
This sample leases policy provides guidelines for accounting for leases when a company is either the lessee or the lesser. In this sample, for operating leases, initial assets or obligations are not recorded, and the lessee generally records the rental payments on the lease as rent expenses over the lease term.
Foreign Intercompany Accounting Policy
This policy outlines guidelines for financial transactions that arise between a domestic (U.S.) and a foreign entity or between two foreign entities. In this sample, intercompany profits in inventory must be identified at least quarterly. The appropriate calculations should be made and communicated to the corporate consolidation department for recording.
Confidentiality Policy
This tool includes three sample policies that define guidelines concerning confidential company information. In these samples, confidential information includes all information not publicly announced that could reasonably affect the market price of the company’s stock if it were disclosed to the public.
